Introduction

The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Team Coordinator within the Behavioral Health Outpatient Program (BHOP). Job Summary

Team Coordinators are clinical and administrative leaders for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Program, which specializes in providing evidence based, trauma informed, integrated services for individuals with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.

In this Team Coordinator-BHOP role, the primary responsibilities include:

  • Provides leadership, oversight and delivery of program service areas including individual and group therapy. Population served may include minors, adolescents, and adults experiencing cognitive, social-emotional, or developmental delays, Youth at Risk, adolescents with Serious Emotional Disturbance, individuals with Substance Use Disorders, and/or adults with Serious Mental Illness.
  • Provides clinical supervision to staff, performs supervisory responsibilities and may oversee the work of Behavioral Health Therapists, and may oversee the clinical work of interns, and/or may enter into contracts with applicable licensing boards to provide clinical supervision towards licensure for Residents or Supervisees.
  • Ensures effective use of evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions, the efficiency of the program, and conducts quality assurance reviews including co-signing clinical documentation.
  • Provides assistance and consultation to staff providing crisis intervention and stabilization to individuals with acute and high-risk symptoms daily.
  • May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

This position is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, and/or Marriage and Family Therapy and VA clinical licensure as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCP. Minimum 2-years of professional experience in the provision of Substance Abuse and Mental Health treatment services which may include internship experience.

Preferred:

  • Prior clinical supervisory experience.
  • Comprehensive clinical skills in providing individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Formal training in treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Dedication to fully contributing as a member of a clinical team.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to provide behavioral health services remotely using appropriate technological support and according to professional standards.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV, and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid drivers license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
