Position Summary
The Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM), at the top-ranked Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking applicants for one full-time, fixed term faculty position in health policy and management. Rank: Assistant or Associate professor based on qualifications and experience. This will be a full-time 12-month teaching faculty appointment. We are seeking an enthusiastic participant in the HPM department community who can teach a range of health policy and management courses in undergraduate or graduate programs, including any of the following areas:
Individuals with professional experience or interest in behavioral health, rural health, long term care, workforce development, and health equity are particularly encouraged to apply.
Teaching assignments are flexible and may potentially include courses not listed based on an area of expertise that complements or expands offerings in the department. This position may also include an administrative program director role depending on experience and interest.

A typical teaching load for a fixed term faculty member is 15 credits (5 classes) at 80% FTE or 18 credit hours (6 classes) at 100% FTE per year. We are seeking a faculty member who is interested in teaching in both residential and online executive formats. In addition to teaching, the selected faculty member is expected to advise and mentor students, review products that students are required to complete (e.g. deliverables for practicums and Capstone projects, DrPH dissertations) and contribute service to the department, University and community.
Although some teaching may be evening online courses, this position requires in-person teaching of undergraduate and graduate-level courses, and in-person availability for student mentoring. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A masters or doctoral degree in health policy and management, business, economics, public health, public policy, public administration, government, social work, nursing, medicine, industrial and operations engineering, or a related field is required.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
