We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our Companion Animals Program. The TA will support the lead instructor in delivering hands-on and classroom instruction across animal health, nutrition, behavior, grooming, and husbandry. The ideal candidate has direct experience handling diverse companion animals-including dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and fish-and a passion for guiding students toward careers in the animal industry.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The Teaching Assistant reports to the CTAE Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual preferred.
2-5 years of field experience required.
Satisfactory SAFIS, CORI, and SORI background checks required.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent-Director may find appropriate and in conformity with state and federal law.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times. The position may require in and out-of-district travel.
