Some educators are at their best with a microphone and a full room. If you're one of them and you live around Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Brentwood, or Hendersonville, we're looking for presenters.
Our presenters deliver classroom management training to K-12 teachers and staff, on school in-service days and in online sessions. Sessions run a full day or half a day. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness opened in 1993, and over 400,000 educators in all 50 states have attended its trainings.
Presenters work as 1099 independent contractors with no guaranteed hours, and the number of presentations changes with each year. Most training days pay $1,000 or more, and payments go out every Friday.
Certification teaches you how to get schools interested, including how presenting at conferences can lead to bookings. Most presentations come from schools you reach that way. Your National Director then writes the contract and negotiates it. There are no territories, so you can present across Tennessee or in any other state.
Your first step is the virtual Weekend Certification, three days and 36 hours over two weekends. UMass Global awards 4 graduate credits for it. You'll also receive an orientation, the presentation materials, and ongoing support.
We welcome current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, counselors, and principals. Most of our presenters also work in schools, so they present on evenings, weekends, personal days, and over the summer. Students can apply if they plan to complete certification.
