Job Summary
Under the direction of the site principal, plans, implements, and evaluates instructional programs and learning activities in assigned teaching areas. Serves as a director of learning by diagnosing individual student needs and designing and delivering appropriate instructional services that maximize each student s academic growth and achievement. Provides engaging, standards-based instruction that supports the development of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for students to become mature, responsible, and productive citizens, consistent with District goals and objectives.

Teaching High School Social Science classes in a departmentalized setting. As a director of learning helps students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.
A valid CA Single Subject credential in Social Science and/or with appropriate supplemental; CLAD certification or EL Authorization. Must have the knowledge and ability to implement the subject matter, philisophical, social, and educational concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities of a school teacher.
