About the Role:STEER LLC in Buckeye, AZ is looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher's Assistant to join their team! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working alongside experienced educators in a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:- Support lead teachers in delivering daily lesson plans and classroom instruction
- Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students who need additional support
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior
- Assist with preparing instructional materials, activities, and classroom resources
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional periods
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in education preferred
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable demeanor with a passion for student success
- Ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively with lead teachers and staff
- Must pass a background check as required by Arizona state regulations
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
