Pay Rate: $17.74 – $19.24/hour
Term of Employment: Full-Time (10-Month School Year)

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist students with daily classroom activities and individualized learning objectives.
• Support lead teachers with classroom activities, providing individual or small-group assistance.
• Use positive behavior strategies and individualized interventions to support student behavior and classroom management.
• Participate in physical education and aquatic programs alongside students.
• Help students with personal hygiene and daily living needs while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
• Assist students with safely boarding and exiting school buses.
• Help with classroom organization, recordkeeping, clerical tasks, and general housekeeping as needed.

• You enjoy working with children and young adults and want to help them build confidence, develop new skills, and achieve greater independence.
• You are patient, compassionate, and comfortable supporting individuals with different abilities and needs.
• You enjoy being active and participating in a variety of activities, including physical education and aquatic programs.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid New York State driver's license with at least three years of driving history.
• Experience working with children with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to assist students with personal care and daily living activities.

• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:15 AM–3:15 PM, with no evenings or weekends.
• Paid time off (PTO) and sick benefits, where applicable.
