    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.

    Develop

    and

    implement

    lesson

    plans

    that

    fulfill

    the

    requirements

    of

    the

    district's

    and

    JROTC

    curriculum

    programs

    and

    show

    written

    evidence

    of

    preparation

    as

    required.

    Prepare

    lessons

    reflect

    accommodations

    student

    differences.

    Plan

    and

    use

    appropriate

    instructional

    and

    learning

    strategies,

    activities,

    materials,

    equipment,

    and

    technology

    that

    reflect

    understanding

    and

    Compile,

    maintain,

    file

    reports,

    records,

    and

    other

    documents

    required.

    16.

    Ensure

    JROTC

    facilities

    are

    adequate

    and

    meet

    military

    requirements.

    17.

    Develop

    and

    maintain

    a

    merit/demerit

    system

    to

    reinforce

    positive

    behavior

    for

    JROTC.

    18.

    Establish

    and

    maintain

    a

    professional

    relationship

    and

    open

    communication

    with

    parents,

    students,

    colleagues,

    and

    community

    members.

    19.

    Actively

    recruit

    students

    to

    enroll

    in

    JROTC

    programs

    and

    maintain

    or

    exceed

    cadet

    enrollment

    requirements.

    20.

    Adhere

    to

    professional

    and

    ethical

    standards,

    in

    accordance

    with

    generally

    accepted

    community

    standards

    and

    the

    Texas

    Education

    Agency

    Code
