Spokane Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates who are prepared and excited to provide a 21st century learning environment that effectively addresses the emerging necessity of social emotional supports and blending learning strategies.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our specialist team teaching Music to students Kindergarten through Eighth Grade at Ruben Trejo Dual Language Academy. As a dual language Spanish-speaking school, proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively teach in both languages.
Demonstrated experience teaching in a dual language or immersion program.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Strong understanding of bilingual education principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students and parents.
Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment.
Passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development related to bilingual education and teaching strategies.

Benefits--Medical/Dental/Vision through SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board) are provided for employees who work at least 630 hours per academic year.

When employees meet plan requirements and retire, they are guaranteed a monthly benefit for the rest of their life from the employer-funded pension.
Employees can also participate in voluntary savings programs to increase retirement savings such as the DRS Deferred Compensation Program or by participating in a 403(b) retirement plan through the District's plan manager, OMNI.
