Job Description for: TSA Bilingual, English Learner Specialist, 6-12
BASIC FUNCTION: Promote and support the OUSD strategic plan to ensure all students are college, career, and community ready. All department members will provide support and professional development through research-based, promising practices to build teacher and leader capacity in content and pedagogy with the goal of producing equitable and excellent outcomes for students in the Full Service Community Schools framework. They will develop and lead implementation of a Core Curriculum aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the new generation English Language Development standards.

A Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree in education preferred) and minimum five years experience in classroom teaching; recent relevant experience providing professional development; and experience working with classroom teachers to build their capacity and leadership skills.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess a Preliminary or Clear California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core TK-12 curriculum.
