Qualifications:
Must hold a Professional Teaching Certificate
Must meet all licensure and certification requirements and be hired as a full-time
teacher in Logan County Schools.
Knowledgeable of curriculum and instruction
Evidence of ability to impact student achievement
A minimum of five years teaching experience
Strong communication and
interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Supports the goals and mission of the district and school.
Serves as a mentor and resource for new and experienced teachers.
Serves as a model classroom for teacher visits.
Serves on the school leadership team.
Facilitates the scheduling and organization of professional development at the
school level.
Assist administrators with the preparation of meeting agendas.
Collaborate with department chairs.
Attend county, state, and national trainings and conferences as relevant to the
position.
Submit monthly documentation related to Teacher Leader duties.
Take the lead for your school in training and implementing districtwide
initiatives, including data analysis, professional development, sharing
screening/diagnostic reports, and providing teachers with suggested skills,
activities, and sample items.
Assist the administration in grouping and scheduling targeted instruction during
class or extended time, and work to g
roup and schedule high at-risk students
for intensive instruction.
Assist in organizing and analyzing school and district data (WVGSA, i-Ready,
etc.).
Collaborate with the school curriculum t
eam to share information and data with
subcommittees in order to make informed instructional decisions.
Model high-yield instructional strategies for instructional staff.
Mentor and support new teachers and/or long-term substitute teachers in the
areas of classroom management, high-yield instructional strategies, data
collection, and instructional planning.
Spend at minimum of 10 hours outside of your regular school day completing
teacher leader responsibilities.
Any other request duty or responsibility requested by the principal.
