Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of individuals to provide a safe, secure, healthy environment for young children.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Head Start Standards and KY Child Care requirements.
  • Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, learning experiences, conduct developmental screening, on-going assessment, and engage families in their child''s growth and development.
  • Work alongside a team of individuals with young children, including children with special needs.
  • Participate in professional development to ensure the training hours required by the state.
  • WKUCCC also expects teachers to engage in professional development to enhance their educational background and earn a CDA within two years.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Additional Information:

Hourly Range: $11.00 - $14.00
