    Internal/External

    Position: Teacher for Students with Emotional Impairments (SE)

    Location: Waterford School District

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Emotional Impairment Endorsement (SE) required
    • Experience in providing instructional support to students who are certified Emotionally Impaired
    • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, and other school district personnel
    • The ability to write, implement, and monitor IEP's
    • Skilled at using data to determine instruction, design and develop interventions and to monitor growth on specific goals and objectives
    • Ability to use current technology in daily instruction Responsibilities:
    • Provide individualized and group instruction to students
    • Plan and participate in Individualized Educational Program Team (IEPT) and Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings
    • Direct and supervise classroom para educators
    • Maintain records in accordance with school district policy, as well as state and federal mandates
    • Complete and submit all required documentation within established timelines
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills
    • Other duties as assigned

    Reports To: Building Principal and Executive Director of Student Support Services Workday/Week: Monday - Friday

    Starting Date: ASAP

    Compensation: Per WEA Master Agreement PLUS $2,250 annual stipend
