    Job Title: Teacher/Floater

    Location: The Goddard School San Antonio

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Reports To: Liz Robles

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Teacher/Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role involves providing support to various classrooms, covering classes as needed, and ensuring that students receive consistent and high-quality instruction, regardless of their assigned teacher's availability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing appropriate lesson plans and instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
    - Float between classrooms as needed, covering for teachers who are absent, on planning time, or require additional support.
    - Support students in various subject areas, helping them understand concepts and encouraging their academic growth.
    - Maintain an orderly and safe classroom environment, ensuring that students follow school rules and procedures.
    - Collaborate with teachers and staff to assess student progress and participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.
    - Provide individualized attention and support to students with different learning needs.
    - Facilitate small group activities and assist with classroom management.
    - Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
    - Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive school community.

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (preferred).

    -Associates Degree in Education or related field 

    -CDA (Child Development Associates)
    - Valid teaching certification or license (where applicable).
    - Previous experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to adapt quickly to varying classroom environments and student needs.
    - A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
    - Patience, creativity, and problem-solving skills are essential.
