You just might be the person we are looking for if you have:
Valid Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Valid Texas Educator Certificate with English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement required (EC-6)
Minimum of three years of teaching experience in elementary education required; including experience with elementary emergent bilingual (EB) students
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple campus stakeholders
Knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS)
Technological proficiency with productivity and learning management system tools
Data analysis skills
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality ESL program services to emergent bilingual (EB) students through grade-level, content-based instruction. Using Content-Based Language Instruction (CBLI), the ESL teacher supports the development of English language proficiency while ensuring meaningful access to academic content. The ESL teacher collaborates closely with classroom teachers to accelerate language acquisition and support student achievement in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS).
