Position Details

Huron ISD is accepting applications for a full-time Teacher Consultant - Emotional Impairment (EI).

The Teacher Consultant provides consultation and support to local districts, the Huron Learning Center, families, and multidisciplinary teams serving children and students from birth through age 26 with emotional impairments and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include assessment, instructional and behavioral planning, professional learning, and collaboration to support student success across educational settings.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in education or a field of study related to special education.
• Minimum of three years of satisfactory teaching experience in a special education classroom.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a special education endorsement in Emotional Impairment (EI).
• Successful teaching experience with students with emotional impairments and demonstrated expertise in behavioral assessment, intervention, and classroom management preferred.
