We are seeking a dependable and caring Teacher Assistant for Hinds County to support the lead teacher in providing a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is patient and organized, and is committed to helping students learn and develop.
Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation.
Provide individual and small-group support to students as needed.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
Supervise students during classroom activities, meals, recess, and transitions.
Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior.
Prepare educational materials and classroom supplies.
Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher.
Support students' social, emotional, and educational development.
Follow school policies and health and safety procedures.
