Position Title: Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)
Position Summary:
The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. This role assists with implementing daily classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining classroom organization, and promoting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Support children with daily routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and academic growth through positive interactions.
- Follow all state licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies.
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate classroom needs and concerns to the Lead Teacher and management team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
- Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and required certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Ability to respond quickly to children's needs and emergencies.
