Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to support Air Traffic Controller training at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Instructors with non-instructional tasks to streamline the teaching process
Serve as an instructor for the Air Traffic Basics course
Provide support and guidance to students in specific situations to enhance their learning experience
Prepare and organize course materials and resources
Monitor student progress
Qualifications
Education:
Must have an associate's degree in aviation from an accredited college or university
OR a minimum of 1 year of experience as a TA or similar role in a STEM field
OR one year of relevant aviation experience (e.g., former CTI instructor, flight dispatcher, flight/airline coordinator)
Training and Certification:
Candidates will receive FAA general and course-specific training
Must become certified by the FAA to meet specific defined job duties and responsibilities
US Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
