Organization Information The Taylor County School District serves almost 2,700 students in Kentucky's only fully functioning performance based educational setting. This unique environment, which provides every student the opportunity to progress based on academic achievement rather than chronological age, has received state and national recognition. Additionally, our "Zero Dropout Policy" has resulted in no dropouts for the past two years. The three tenets of TCSD are: students are not allowed to fail; students are not held back; and students are not allowed to drop out. The district operates four A-1 schools: Taylor County Elementary, Taylor County Middle, Taylor County High and Taylor County Virtual Charter School. The district is committed to excellence in teaching and learning as we prepare students for the successful transition to adult life by meeting college and career readiness standards.
