Job Summary

The position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including interviewing patients to determine medical conditions, documenting in EMR, and assisting physicians with examinations.

Job Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine medical problems/conditions and document in EMR.
• Record vital signs, including weight, and assist physicians with patient examinations.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients to ensure understanding and ease apprehension.
• Manage lipids, protimes, and phone triage of patient concerns.
• Follow up on physician orders and lab requests, inform patients of test results, and provide necessary education.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments in EMR.
• Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs.
• Abstract patient records and utilize EMR functions such as tasking, messaging, and disease management.
• Respond to emergency situations based on nursing standards and protocols.
• Maintain crash cart and defibrillator.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency with defibrillators, blood pressure monitors, EKG equipment, treadmills, and crash cart maintenance.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Three years of RN experience.
• Experience with Centricity EMR.

Schedule Notes

The position requires wound care experience and involves working three days each week (24 hours/week) from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm for a duration of 12 weeks. Floating between locations is required, with a primary location specified. Orientation will be held at a designated location.
