Position Overview

As a Taxi Routing Specialist, you will serve as a central communication hub between drivers, customer service teams, and operations personnel. You'll manage trip assignments, monitor service coverage, adjust routing based on changing conditions, and help ensure customers receive timely and dependable transportation.

Key Responsibilities of a Taxi Routing Specialist:

Routing & Trip Management

• Assign transportation requests to the most appropriate available drivers.
• Monitor trip progress and service activity in real time.
• Make routing adjustments to improve efficiency and minimize delays.
• Balance service demand with available transportation resources.
• Coordinate coverage during high-volume periods and service fluctuations.

Driver Communication & Support

• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers throughout their shifts.
• Provide trip updates, schedule changes, and operational instructions.
• Assist drivers with route-related questions and service issues.
• Support drivers in achieving on-time performance goals.
• Escalate urgent concerns to leadership when necessary.

Service Monitoring

• Track transportation activity and identify potential service disruptions.
• Respond quickly to unexpected operational challenges.
• Coordinate solutions for delays, missed trips, and coverage gaps.
• Ensure service commitments are met whenever possible.
• Support daily operational objectives and performance standards.

Operational Coordination

Qualifications of a Taxi Routing Specialist:

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
