Description
CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor join our growing Not-for-Profit practice. This role will focus on providing tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse portfolio of tax-exempt organizations, including private foundations, public charities, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, religious organizations, and other nonprofit entities.
Job Responsibilities
Review Forms 990, 990-EZ, 990-PF, 990-T, and related state filings
Review unrelated business income tax (UBIT) calculations and filings
Research and analyze complex tax issues affecting exempt organizations
Provide advisory services including: Private foundation compliance; Excess benefit transactions; Intermediate sanctions; Public support testing and; State charitable registrations
Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff, seniors, and supervisors
Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on not-for-profit taxation required
- Tax Manager experience
- Experience working with large exempt organizations
- Experience reviewing complex returns and supervising staff
