Job Summary:
United Way of King County's Free Tax Preparation Campaign helps low- to moderate-income families access life-changing anti-poverty programs. In 2026, the campaign served over 13,000 clients, benefiting more than 29,000 community members and returning more than $18 million to the community.
To build on this impact, United Way is hiring up to 30 seasonal Tax Site Managers to lead the daily operations of community-based tax preparation sites throughout King County.
Tax Site Managers are frontline leaders responsible for creating an organized, welcoming, and high-quality experience for clients and volunteers. Each manager oversees one or more in-person tax sites for at least two shifts per week.

Important Application & Schedule Requirements
Required Training & Preparation
Tax Site Manager Training: Nov. 14-15 & Nov. 21-22 (in-person, 4 days total: 2 Saturdays & 2 Sundays)
Volunteer Training Weekends (in-person, Saturdays & Sundays):
Dec. 5-6 (attendance required).
At least two additional weekends (Sat + Sun) between Dec. 12-20 and Jan. 9-17.
Self-paced training & virtual team collaboration: Up to 10 additional hours/week between Nov. 16-Dec. 4.
New Tax Site Manager Pre-Season Workshop: Monday, Jan. 18.
Tax Season Commitment
From Jan. 19-Apr. 30, Tax Site Managers must:
Because consistent site leadership is essential, applicants with planned vacations or other known conflicts during the tax season should not apply.
