What You'll Do ...

As a Tax Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while providing technical leadership, mentoring staff, and working closely with firm leadership to grow the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review and approve complex federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and other business entities.

• Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for a diverse portfolio of clients.

• Lead complex tax planning, consulting, and compliance engagements.

• Research and resolve sophisticated tax issues while remaining current on changing tax laws and regulations.

• Manage IRS and state tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities when appropriate.

• Oversee engagement planning, staffing, workflow, budgeting, billing, and realization.

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of client engagements while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

• Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals through performance management, technical training, and career development.

• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.

• Evaluate tax technology and research tools to improve efficiency and client service.

• Collaborate with Partners on strategic initiatives, client development, and practice growth.

• Build relationships within the business community and generate new business opportunities through networking and referral activities.

What You Will Need ...

• Active CPA license required and in good standing.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Taxation or related field preferred.

• Seven or more years of progressive public accounting tax experience.

• Demonstrated expertise managing complex tax engagements and providing strategic tax planning.

• Experience representing clients before federal and state taxing authorities.

• Prior experience leading, supervising, and developing tax professionals.

• Strong technical tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with professional tax preparation, tax research, and tax planning software.

• Excellent communication, client relationship management, and leadership abilities.

• Commitment to continuing professional education and technical excellence.
