    Strategic Tax Advisory | Client Leadership | Team Development | National Consulting Platform

    Compensation: $155,000–$210,000 Base + Performance Bonus + Long-Term Leadership Growth

    Our client, a nationally recognized consulting, tax, accounting, audit, and advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join its corporate headquarters and flagship office in Knoxville.

    The Opportunity

    As a Tax Senior Manager, you'll oversee complex tax planning, compliance, consulting, and advisory engagements while helping lead and grow one of the firm's core practice areas.

    You'll work directly with business owners, healthcare executives, investors, management teams, boards, and ownership groups while helping clients navigate complex tax, regulatory, and business matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Tax Advisory

    • Lead sophisticated tax planning, compliance, and consulting engagements
    • Advise clients on complex federal, state, and local tax matters
    • Develop proactive planning strategies that support client growth and profitability
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, ownership groups, and key stakeholders
    • Help clients navigate evolving tax regulations and business challenges

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
    • Deliver exceptional service and strategic guidance
    • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and advisory services
    • Coordinate tax, accounting, advisory, and consulting engagements
    • Become a trusted resource for clients throughout the year

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Manage and mentor tax professionals across multiple levels
    • Develop future managers, senior managers, and firm leaders
    • Review work product and provide technical guidance
    • Support recruiting, retention, and professional development efforts
    • Foster a culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

    Practice Growth

    • Participate in networking and business development activities
    • Support proposals, presentations, and client pursuits
    • Develop new business opportunities and referral relationships

    Qualifications

    Required

    • CPA, EA, or comparable professional credential
    • 7+ years of tax experience in public accounting, consulting, or corporate tax leadership

    • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
    • Strategic mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
