About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our leadership team. This is a high-impact seat for a seasoned, client-focused professional with 10+ years of public accounting experience who wants technical work that matters and a direct hand in client relationships — not just a review queue.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
  • Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and internal resources
  • Build and maintain direct client relationships
  • Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and workpapers
  • Conduct tax research projects
  • Communicate with clients and team members on project status, opportunities, and issues
  • Provide training, direction, and oversight to team members
  • Maintain technical expertise across relevant tax areas and industry specializations
  • Build new client relationships and manage an existing book of business, including budgets and production goals
  • Support consulting and special projects as requested by management and clients

Qualifications

  • BSBA in Accounting
  • CPA certification required
  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Pay Range and Compensation Package

  • Base salary $130,000–$165,000 per year, based on relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity
