Location: Tallahassee, FL

Overview

A growing regional public accounting firm offering accounting, audit, tax, consulting and advisory services is seeking a Tax Manager for its Tallahassee office. You will provide tax consulting services, meet with clients in person and virtually, lead a team of staff accountants, work on industry group engagements and build expertise in an area of tax specialization. This is an in-office position, and the firm is looking to fill it immediately.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse group of clients
• Lead, mentor and supervise staff accountants and assist in their professional development
• Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously
• Serve as a face of the firm with clients and in professional and service organizations
• Work directly with senior managers, directors and shareholders on industry group engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting
• CPA certification, or all four sections passed and awaiting certification
• At least 5 years of recent tax experience in public accounting
• Prior experience training and supervising a team
• Demonstrated technical mastery in tax services
