Overview

A well-established Northeast Ohio accounting and advisory firm is seeking a relationship-driven CPA to join its management team as a Tax Manager or Senior Manager in Akron, with a path to partner potential. Flexible remote/office scheduling is offered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage client engagements, set workload priorities and supervise the work of others
• Review individual and corporate returns, including federal, foreign and state and local
• Manage federal and state tax audits
• Research and consult on complex tax issues
• Consult with clients on a broad range of tax matters
• Identify prospects, build new client relationships and cultivate a network of professional contacts

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm
• CPA required for Manager level
• Strong team management, coaching and leadership skills
• Experience in one or more specialized areas or industries
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's preferred
• Strong corporate tax and/or high-net-worth individual background
