Location: Raleigh, NC

Overview

A regional tax, assurance and consulting firm known for its workplace culture is seeking a Tax Manager for its Raleigh office (hybrid). You will own client relationships end-to-end, perform technical review of returns of varying complexity and lead and develop the tax team.

Responsibilities

• Develop thorough knowledge of each client’s business and communicate engagement progress, problems and resolutions
• Perform technical tax review of multiple returns of varying complexity
• Research complex tax issues and recommend creative solutions
• Delegate and manage tax and research assignments and manage billable hour budgets
• Provide direction, coaching, developmental plans and performance feedback to the tax team
• Generate new business through community involvement, networking and professional events
• Participate in recruiting experienced and new staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Tax preferred
• 5+ years of recent accounting firm experience managing multiple tax projects and client engagements, scheduling staff and managing workflow
• Significant experience with all entity types
• CPA certification
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Travel up to 15%
