    Salary: $150,000 - $200,000

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Tax Manager to join a prestigious family office in Walnut Creek. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 6+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in individual taxation, to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be mentored by the Tax Director to enhance your technical skills and take on new challenges, while also enjoying the work-life balance that distinguishes family offices from public accounting firms.
    This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a collaborative, Type-A personality who thrives in a team-focused setting. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in individual, partnership, and S-Corp taxation, tax planning, and structuring, as well as a desire to grow and take on greater responsibilities within the family office environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Manage and oversee individual, partnership, and S-Corp taxation
    - Conduct tax technical research and provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice
    - Perform quarterly individual tax projections, computations, and analysis
    - Supervise and coordinate additional tax filings, including sales, payroll, and property tax filings
    - Collaborate with external consultants and vendors, fostering strong working relationships
    - Take on new challenges and responsibilities in a non-routine environment with opportunities for growth and development

    Required Experience and Skills:

    - Minimum 6 years of relevant tax experience, ideally at a Big 4 or large regional accounting firm
    - Strong technical proficiency in individual and partnership taxation, tax planning, and structuring
    - Willingness to take on a range of tax filings, from sales tax to payroll tax and property tax
    - Proficiency in NetSuite and BNA Income Tax Planner
    - Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting the job done
    - CPA, MS in Taxation, or EA preferred
    - Ability to thrive in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment
