LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established, employee-owned CPA firm in Norman, OK, to identify a Tax Manager. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to clients, mentoring staff, and helping drive the growth of a dynamic public accounting practice.
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will play a key role within the firm's leadership team, providing tax planning, consulting, compliance review, and research services to a diverse client base. This individual will also be responsible for developing team members, fostering client relationships, and contributing to business development efforts.
Responsibilities
Manage and review corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients across multiple industries.
Conduct technical tax research and deliver practical solutions to client challenges.
Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals.
Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
Participate in recruiting, training, and talent development initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
Active CPA license in good standing.
5+ years of recent public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation.
3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is a plus.
