Description
- Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings for partnerships, corporations, and related entities.
- Manage 3 Tax Associates
- Oversee tax compliance processes for a large real estate and affordable housing portfolio.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Review tax provisions and support financial reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess business impacts.
- Support tax planning strategies and identify opportunities to optimize tax positions.
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and other affordable housing tax regulations where applicable.
- Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities.
- Partner with accounting and finance teams on entity structuring, acquisitions, refinancings, and other strategic transactions.
- Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation.

Profile
A successful Tax Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within real estate, affordable housing, public accounting, or a combination of both.
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and real estate tax concepts.
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance.
- Familiarity with LIHTC structures and affordable housing programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.
