Description

Tax Manager

Our client is a well-established owner, developer, and manager of affordable and mixed-income residential communities across the United States. Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings for partnerships, corporations, and related entities.

Manage 3 Tax Associates

Oversee tax compliance processes for a large real estate and affordable housing portfolio.

Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.

Review tax provisions and support financial reporting requirements.

Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess business impacts.

Support tax planning strategies and identify opportunities to optimize tax positions.

Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and other affordable housing tax regulations where applicable.

Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities.

Partner with accounting and finance teams on entity structuring, acquisitions, refinancings, and other strategic transactions.

Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation.

A successful Tax Manager should have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA designation strongly preferred.

5+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within real estate, affordable housing, public accounting, or a combination of both.

Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and real estate tax concepts.

Experience with multi-state tax compliance.

Familiarity with LIHTC structures and affordable housing programs is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.

Competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $180,000 USD, depending on experience.
