Location: Louisville, KY

Overview

A large national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its core tax services team in Louisville on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days/week in office). You will manage clients’ tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, recognize planning opportunities and train and develop less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems for clients in manufacturing, technology, professional services and health/life sciences
• Manage engagements and provide knowledgeable review of complex returns, including tax provision work
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and manage workflows, deadlines, deliverables and communications
• Lead tax staff and seniors in a dynamic environment
• Leverage project management, analytical and communication abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred
• Active CPA license required
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience, including at least 2 years of managerial experience
• Strong background in C corporations
• General understanding of partnership taxation, particularly partnership equity investments
• Tax provision/ASC 740 experience a plus
