    Are you enthusiastic, community-driven, and ready to be part of our esteemed team? The Richman Group Development Corporation is actively seeking a full-time Tax Manager to join and lead our dynamic team.

    Position: Tax Manager

    Location: The Richman Group Development Corporation office in Greenwich, CT

    Hours: The position is a Hybrid work environment working three (3) days per week from the Corporate office in Greenwich, CT, then working two (2) days per week remotely from your home. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm.

    Summary:

    The Tax Manager oversees all tax-related activities for a diversified real estate owner, developer, and operator with a portfolio consisting of LIHTC/affordable housing and market-rate properties. This role manages the full tax cycle, ensures compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, supports tax credit reporting, evaluates tax impacts of dispositions, and serves as the primary liaison between the company and external accounting firms. The Tax Manager maintains critical tracking systems, reviews hundreds of entity-level returns, supports investor reporting, and drives proactive tax planning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the entire annual tax season process for 400+ partnership, corporate, and
    • individual returns across LIHTC and market-rate entities.
    • Coordinate directly with external accounting firms to ensure timely and accurate
    • preparation of all returns.
    • Review all tax returns for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with entity financials and partnership agreements.
    • Monitor compliance deadlines across federal, state, and local jurisdictions to ensure
    • timely filings and payments.
    • Track all notices and resolutions to ensure timely follow-up and closure.
    • Work closely with accounting, development, asset management, and investor relations teams to gather information and support tax needs.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 5-8+ years of tax experience, ideally in real estate partnerships.
    • Strong understanding of LIHTC, partnership taxation, and real estate depreciation rules.
    • Experience reviewing large volumes of partnership returns and K-1s.
    • Excellent organizational skills and mastery of tracking systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate effectively with external accounting firms.

    Preferred

    • CPA or Master's in Taxation.
    • Experience with real estate development entities, multi-tier partnership structures, and investor reporting.
