Our client, a respected and established public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to lead client engagements, review complex tax returns, provide strategic tax planning, and serve as a trusted advisor to privately held businesses and business owners. Location: Greater Cincinnati Area - Candidates must reside within the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000, based on experience
Key Responsibilities- Engagement Management: Oversee tax workflow, deadlines, budgets, and communication for business and individual accounts.
- Review & Compliance: Review complex tax returns, including partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and pass-through entities, ensuring multi-state and local tax compliance.
- Advisory & Planning: Provide year-round strategic tax planning, entity structure consulting, and proactive business advisory support.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and review the work of tax staff and seniors while collaborating directly with firm leadership.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Active CPA or EA license.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Solid technical knowledge of federal tax laws and return reviews.
- Experience managing client relationships and tax engagements.
- Experience reviewing business tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and pass-through entities.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with privately held businesses, pass-through entities, and multi-state / SALT considerations.
- Proven track record in client relationship management and staff mentorship.
- Partnership and S corporation tax experience.
- Interest in client advisory and consulting work.
