The Opportunity
As Tax Manager, you'll serve as both a technical resource and trusted advisor while helping lead client engagements and develop the firm's tax professionals.
You'll work directly with business owners, agricultural producers, family-owned businesses, closely held companies, and individual clients to provide proactive tax planning, strategic advice, and year-round support.

Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Tax Strategy
- Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and agricultural operations
- Develop proactive tax strategies that maximize opportunities and minimize risk
- Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax matters
- Stay current on changing tax regulations and advise clients accordingly
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax, business, and financial matters
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals across the firm
- Review technical work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Assist in training and professional development initiatives
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Client Relationships & Practice Growth
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Meet regularly with clients to understand their goals and evolving needs
- Identify opportunities to provide additional value through advisory services
- Support business development and relationship-building initiatives
- Contribute to the long-term growth and success of the practice
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong technical tax knowledge and research capabilities
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
- Agricultural, agribusiness, or closely held business experience highly desirable
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to professional excellence and client service
