What We Are Looking For
Property tax administration over a specific geographic area or group of company assets
What You Will Do
Collect and process data necessary for completing and filing personal property renditions
Monitor and evaluate both real and personal property assessments
Manage a team of tax professionals
Self-starter with complex properties
Prepare and file property tax appeals and attend hearings
Correspond and negotiate with local assessment officials to ensure reasonable assessments
Review and process payment requests for property tax bills
Prepare and present annual property tax forecasts and annual budget
Research property tax laws and legal decisions
Special projects as assigned
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
Minimum 7 years' experience in property tax or finance
Strong Communication, Analytical and Critical Thinking skills, both written and oral
Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines; detail-oriented
Strong computer skills - Microsoft Excel and Word; skills in PTMS and database understanding are a plus
Overnight travel to some degree
Position may be filled at various levels depending on experience and job skills of the successful candidate
