ABOUT THE ROLE

A growing advisory practice is seeking a Senior Manager or Director to lead client relationships, oversee complex accounting and tax engagements, and drive business development initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and closely held companies while building toward a defined partnership track.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a consultative approach to client service, and a proven ability to develop and expand business relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for high-value individual and business clients.
  • Oversee complex accounting, tax, and advisory engagements across a variety of industries and client structures.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and provide strategic solutions tailored to client objectives.
  • Lead engagement planning, workflow management, quality control, and risk assessment processes.
  • Drive business development initiatives through networking, referrals, client expansion, and market outreach.
  • Develop proposals, participate in client presentations, and support practice growth initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop managers and staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide strategic guidance on tax, accounting, and business advisory matters.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external client contacts.
  • Support long-term practice growth and succession initiatives through leadership and market presence.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • 10+ years of public accounting, tax, accounting advisory, or client services experience.
  • Strong background serving business owners, entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Proven success developing new business and expanding client relationships.
  • Experience leading client engagements and managing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise across tax, accounting, and advisory services.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing professionals.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work from the Miami or Boca Raton market and participate in business development activities locally.
