Our AmLaw 100 client is adding a junior associate to its Tax Controversy and Litigation group in Washington, D.C. This is a lean, high -judgment practice handling disputes that raise real statutory, procedural, and policy questions, not commodity work.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>
This group is known for its work at the intersection of federal tax, litigation strategy, and regulatory enforcement, with matters that routinely involve the IRS, DOJ, and federal courts.<\/span>

<\/p>
The Role<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div> • Represent clients in federal tax controversies and litigation<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Draft briefs, memoranda, and submissions in matters before the IRS, DOJ, and federal courts<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Work closely with senior lawyers on disputes involving complex domestic and cross -border tax issues<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Tackle issues that are often novel, technical, and unsettled<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

The Profile<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div> • 1–3 years of tax controversy experience<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills are non -negotiable<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Prior experience with the IRS or DOJ, or a federal trial or appellate clerkship, is highly valued<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Exposure to international tax or transfer pricing concepts is a plus<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
• Top academic credentials expected<\/span>
