About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Tax Manager for an accounting and advisory firm in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this client-facing role, you will act as a liaison between our partners, clients and internal staff. You will play a pivotal role in risk mitigation for the firm, as well as employee development and retention. Our ideal candidate will have expertise in technical accounting, client service, management, marketing, and office administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, including individual, corporate, trust, non-profit, estate and gift in the insurance, hospitality, nonprofit and public sector/government industries
• Manage tax projects, including preparation of client deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
• Review and monitor work of accounting staff to ensure the timeline of expected deliverables
• Work with audit personnel to ensure seamless client service
• Client billing and collections
• Marketing and client development

Required Education, Licenses and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Advanced degree preferred – Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation (MST) or Law (LLM, MLS)
• Certified Public Accountant
• 8+ years of public accounting experience with an accounting or consulting firm

What We Offer                                                                                                                

• Competitive salary: $140,000 - $160,000
