Position Summary
The Tax & Compliance Analyst to serve as the execution engine for our tax and regulatory functions. This role owns the day-to-day processing, tracking, and follow-through required to keep a complex, multi-state organization compliant, so senior leaders can focus on judgment, risk, and strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, submit, and track state and local tax filings, extensions, and related payments.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance / Coordinate with internal teams on verifying coverage.
  • Coordinate paper filings, EFTs, and check requests including proof of mailing and acceptance.
  • Taxes inbox assignments – respond to specifically designated tasks.
  • Track notices through resolution and maintain clear audit trails.
  • Coordinate with VP of Corporate Compliance, Director of Tax, and outside CPAs on signatures, approvals, filings, and confirmations.
  • Interface with Finance/AP on payment issues, corrections, and confirmations.
  • Maintain organized documentation for tax, licensing, and insurance items.
  • Research state and local tax filing requirements for new and existing partnerships.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in indirect tax, accounting, compliance, payroll, or finance operations.
  • Multiple different entity structures, and complex ownership understanding.
  • Strong Excel and document management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Comfortable coordinating with CPAs, internal teams, and government agencies.
