Tax Administrative Assistant/Financial Preparer

Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of a college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three to five years’ experience in tax administration. Prepares clients for tax season by compiling and entering their monthly and year-end financial information into the system.

Work Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Longer hours will apply for tax season from January-April.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications:

• Prepares financial statements for clients.

• Processes routine client data, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

• Completes Payroll and quarterly reports.

• Identifies and resolves payroll errors.

• Prepares clients for tax season by compiling and entering their monthly and year-end financial information into the system.

• Respectfully handles confidential information.

• Complies with applicable banking, insurance, investment, and tax laws and regulations.

• Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of a college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three to five years’ experience in tax administration.

• Effectively transfers calls, takes and delivers messages, and answers questions as appropriate.

• Assists various departments with copying and organizing information. Some administrative assistance will be required.

• Assists in the management of department schedules. Schedule and organize activities such as meetings and department/location activities.

• Reviews Tax Return data for accuracy and completeness.

• Communicates Tax Return information to clients.
