This role is ideal for someone with strong business entity tax experience who enjoys working directly with clients and managing tax engagements from start to finish. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing corporate and pass-through entity returns with minimal supervision while helping clients meet important tax filing deadlines.

Tax Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state business tax returns for a variety of entities.

• Prepare Forms 1120 (C Corporations), 1120-S (S Corporations), and 1065 (Partnerships).

• Review financial information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Communicate with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions.

• The Tax Accountant will research tax issues and apply current tax regulations.

• Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation.

  
  
• 
  

• The Tax Accountant will manage multiple client engagements while meeting filing deadlines.

• Collaborate with partners and staff to provide quality client service.

Qualifications of the Tax Accountant Role

• 
  

• 2+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant, Business Tax Preparer, Staff Tax Accountant, or similar public accounting professional.

  
  
• 
  

• Demonstrated ability to independently prepare business tax returns with minimal supervision.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong knowledge of Forms 1120 and 1120-S, with experience preparing Form 1065 preferred.

  
  
• 
  

• Familiarity with federal and state business tax compliance requirements.

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with professional tax software such as UltraTax CS, Lacerte, ProSeries, Drake, CCH Axcess, or similar platforms.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  
  
• 
  

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
