The Hire Firm is assisting a respected local CPA firm in its search for a CPA / Senior Accountant.
This established Santa Fe firm provides high-quality tax, accounting, audit, and advisory services to a diverse client base and approaches every client relationship as a long-term partnership. They are seeking a motivated professional who enjoys variety in their work, values client relationships, and can think critically to solve unique and complex challenges.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a combination of tax preparation, audits, bookkeeping, payroll, and specialized projects in an environment where no two days are exactly alike. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career with a supportive and professional team.
Prepare and review individual, business, partnership, and trust tax returns
Assist with audits for nonprofit organizations
Perform accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll-related work for clients
Research and resolve complex accounting and tax issues
Work on specialized projects requiring creativity and problem-solving
Communicate professionally with clients and team members
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization
Active CPA license preferred
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of accounting experience required; public accounting experience strongly preferred
Experience preparing business and individual tax returns
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Desire to build a long-term career with a well-established local firm
Must be able to pass a background check
$120-150K
