Description
Shop Tank Welder (API / Refinery)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $26-$34/hr
Shift: 1st Shift M-F 5am-1:30pm | 2nd Shift (M-F 1:30pm-10:30pm)
Responsibilities
- Perform welding on storage tanks, pressure vessels, and refinery equipment
- Follow API standards (API 650, API 653) and welding procedures (WPS)
- Read blueprints and welding symbols
- Ensure weld quality meets inspection and safety standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of tank, vessel, or refinery welding experience
- Experience with SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or GMAW
- Ability to pass an on-site weld test
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Details
- Shift: 1st/2nd Shift
- Pay: $25–$34/hr (DOE)
- Schedule for Weld Testing: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Project: Long-term
