Talented Prep Cook

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking an experienced prep cook for a private school. This position is very unique, featuring a two-person team where dividing and conquering is key! This position entails raw vegetable and fruit prep, making composed salads, preparing deli-based salads and meats, putting away dry stock, washing dishes, and assisting the chef manager.

• Monday- Friday
• 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Available overtime for catering events with prior notice!

Please note: The school has multiple properties that SAGE Dining Services manages. We may schedule you to work at a different location from time to time. Flexibility is key to our success!

$18.00 Hourly

What you'll do:

• Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
• Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile.
• Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes.
• Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences.
• Clean all work areas and customer service areas on an ongoing basis.
• Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques always (HACCP).
• Assist in training new culinary Team Members.
• Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold.
• Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management.

What you'll need:

• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
• Ability to properly set up a buffet or serving station.
• Experience in customer service strongly preferred, but not required.
• Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction.
