The Talent Development Specialist designs and delivers impactful learning and development experiences that build employee capability, support career growth, and strengthen leadership across the organization. This role plays a key part in executing enterprise talent development strategies through facilitation, content development, onboarding, and support of leadership enrichment and professional development programs. Working closely with the Manager, Organizational Development and business partners, this position translates organizational priorities into practical, scalable development solutions. This role contributes to broader Organizational Development initiatives that enhance team effectiveness, leadership capability, and organizational performance.
1) Learning Experience Design, Content Development & Facilitation: Designs, develops, and delivers impactful learning experiences that build individual and team capability across the organization. Creates high-quality content, including facilitator guides, participant materials, and blended learning resources aligned to business objectives and talent priorities. Facilitates engaging learning experiences in both in-person and virtual environments, adapting delivery to audience needs and learning objectives. Ensures all learning experiences are practical, relevant, and drive measurable behavior change. Designs and delivers enterprise-wide learning solutions in support of organizational initiatives and change efforts that impact the entire organization (e.g., new systems, enterprise processes, or strategic initiatives), ensuring employees are prepared for successful adoption. (30%)
2) Leadership Enrichment & Professional Development Programs: Develops, implements, and continuously improves Leadership Enrichment and Professional Development programs that strengthen leadership capability and support employee growth across the organization. Builds program structure, curriculum, and participant experience in alignment with enterprise talent strategies. Ensures programs are consistent, scalable, and aligned to organizational priorities while delivering high-quality, engaging experiences across cohorts. Designs and supports the coordination and delivery of internship and early talent programs, contributing to the development of future talent pipelines and providing meaningful development experiences aligned with organizational goals. (30%)
3) Enterprise Onboarding Experience:Leads the design, coordination, and delivery of the enterprise onboarding experience for all new hires, focusing on creating a welcoming, engaging, and culture-centered introduction to the organization. Partners with leaders, Human Resources, and Member Experience Training to ensure a seamless and consistent onboarding journey across all roles. Designs and facilitates onboarding sessions that connect new hires to the organization’s mission, values, culture, and expectations, accelerating early engagement and organizational connection. Coordinates the overall onboarding experience while clearly distinguishing onboarding from role-specific and operational training delivered by functional teams. Continuously evaluates and enhances the onboarding experience based on feedback, business needs, and organizational priorities. (15%)
4) Career Development & Coaching Support: Provides guidance and support to employees in career development, including Individual Development Plans (IDPs), goal setting, and growth planning. Partners with leaders and employees to promote internal mobility and meaningful development conversations. Contributes to building a strong talent pipeline through structured development support and coaching. (10%)
5) Organizational Development Initiative Support: Contributes to organizational development initiatives that strengthen team effectiveness, leadership capability, and organizational alignment. Designs and facilitates team development sessions that strengthen communication, collaboration, and performance across teams and departments. Leads and supports facilitated experiences such as team-building sessions, leadership workshops, and development discussions, including but not limited to DiSC, CliftonStrengths, “Get to Know Your Leader,” conflict management, and professionalism-based sessions. Partners with leaders, Human Resources, and Member Experience to assess team needs and deliver practical, targeted solutions that enhance team dynamics, clarify expectations, and improve overall effectiveness. Supports organizational initiatives and change efforts by contributing to the design and delivery of enterprise-level development experiences that enable adoption and improve organizational effectiveness. (10%)
6) Other Duties as Assigned: Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned to support organizational development and business objectives. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (5%)
1) Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
2) Association for Talent Development (ATD) Training and Facilitation Certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
3) Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Talent Development, or related field.
4) Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with demonstrated success leading a team.
5) Experience designing and facilitating learning experiences (in-person and virtual)
6) Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
7) Experience developing learning content and supporting structured development programs
8) Foundational knowledge of organizational development, leadership development, and talent development practices
9) Ability to partner effectively with leaders, Human Resources, and cross-functional teams
10) Experience supporting onboarding, leadership programs, or team development initiatives preferred
11) Exposure to organizational initiatives or change efforts preferred
12) Familiarity with learning technologies (e.g., LMS, virtual platforms) preferred
13) Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of growth, development, and continuous improvement.
