JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Talent & Business Development Specialist
Location: Atlanta, GA or Nashville, TN
Work Setting (Remote/ Hybrid/ On-site): This is a primarily on-site role with the possibility of limited hybrid in the future

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Talent & Business Development Specialist who thrives on building relationships and being at the center of growth. This is not a behind-the-scenes recruiting role; this is a highly visible, people-facing position where you will directly impact how we attract talent, expand our network, and show up in the market.
 
This role sits at the intersection of recruiting, marketing, and business development. You will be out in the field connecting with candidates, schools, and industry partners, while also working internally with hiring managers and leadership to meet evolving workforce needs. If you enjoy meeting new people, making connections, and creating opportunities before they exist, this role gives you the platform to do it.
 
The right person for this role is a natural connector. They are someone who gets energy from building relationships and being out in front of people. You are proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing momentum. You’re just as comfortable having a conversation with a candidate as you are representing the company at an event or coordinating behind the scenes to make things happen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting & Talent Pipeline Development
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and respond quickly to hiring demands
  • Proactively build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future openings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, technical schools, and community organizations to support long-term talent pipelines
  • Represent the company at career fairs, campus events, and workforce development initiatives
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates to ensure a strong experience and engagement
Sourcing & Outreach
  • Identify and engage candidates through various channels including LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach
  • Execute targeted outreach campaigns to attract passive candidates
  • Track and manage candidate activity within the ATS and maintain organized pipelines
Business Development & Event Support
  • Partner with the business development and marketing teams to plan and execute conferences, recruiting events, and networking opportunities
  • Maintain and manage the company’s business development and recruiting event calendar
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including registrations, materials, and scheduling
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the company and support brand visibility
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships and market engagement
Employee Engagement & Internal Events
  • Support planning and coordination of internal employee events and initiatives
  • Help ensure consistent communication and execution of company-wide events
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Understanding of full-cycle recruiting processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work proactively and independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable representing the company in external-facing environments such as career fairs, networking events, and industry functions
  • Basic proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Microsoft Office, and standard recruiting tools
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and shift between recruiting, event coordination, and business development support
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related role
  • Experience supporting business development, marketing initiatives, or event planning
  • Experience building partnerships with colleges, technical schools, or community organizations
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter or other sourcing tools
  • Experience working in a professional services, construction, or AEC environment
  • Experience planning or coordinating conferences, recruiting events, or internal employee events
  • Demonstrated ability to build proactive talent pipelines and execute outreach strategies
     
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is a combination of office-based and field-based work, with regular time spent at career fairs, campuses, industry events, and networking functions. The position requires extended periods of sitting and computer use, as well as standing and walking for longer durations while attending events. Occasional lifting and transporting of materials, such as event displays and marketing materials, up to 25 pounds may be required. Local travel is expected, including occasional early morning or evening events. Work environments may vary between office settings, event venues, campuses, and construction-related environments depending on business needs.
